A Neutral Pattern Filled Home

Y'all I love this client so much!! She reached out to see if I would be interested in helping her decorate, and we spent the past school year adding layers to her home. They had just renovated and their home was a fresh slate with gorgeous furniture and lighting, ready for the finishing touches.

She initially brought me in to add color to the home, but I learned pretty quickly that she really loves neutrals, so we embraced fun textures and prints, and created layers of fun neutrals with a hint of blue and pink woven throughout.

The entryway was the first space to be tackled, and we added a fun staircase runner, gallery wall, and sitting area.

In the kitchen we kept things simple, and added a stunning gold oyster roman shade, some styling, and a runner. This fabric is so stunning in person, and definitely makes a statement! The kitchen remodel was done so amazingly, that they didn’t need much, but it’s always fun to add in some softness with a roman shade.

Wallpaper is the perfect way to make a statement! From the textured gold grasscloth that shimmers in the light, to the prints that pop in the back of a shelf, these were all such a fun addition to the home.

In the dining room we went with a fun twist on a classic grasscloth, with the homeowner choosing a subtle gold. The natural texture and changing tones throughout the day elevate the space.

In the office we added a gold patterned grasscloth to the backs of the built ins. One roll of paper and an hour to diy, this was a quick and satisfying project 🙌

In the living room, we added a gold swirl to the kids study wall. It's subtle from a distance, but so fun.

Let's look at some before and afters for the Living room! It's always so fun to see the transformation.

The living room already had a great sofa and leather chairs, the curtains were brand new, and she just wanted it to feel cozier and finished. The first thing we swapped out was the rug for a bigger one that fit the room better. There was also a lot of acrylic in the room, so we kept the coffee table, and repurposed the tray in the office.

The natural woven poofs ground the acrylic coffee table, and serve as extra seating for the kids. The curtains we kept, but added pleats and moved the rods further to the sides to frame the windows without blocking the light. We added in fun new pillows, tables and lamps, as well as pretty coffee table books and pieces to style the room. We kept the feeling of the space the same, but just added a cozy lived in feel.

BEFORE

AFTER

The master bedroom was a spacious room with gorgeous pieces, so we just needed to add some finishing touches. We used the bold chair in the corner as inspiration, and filled in the room with new pillows for the bed, curtains with a pretty trim to match the pillows, and a waterfall bench at the foot of the bed, upholstered in a cozy chenille.

This house definitely makes a strong case for gold wallpapers and neutrals!
