Powder Room Refresh

There’s nothing wrong with our powder room, it’s just not cute… I’ve been plotting on wallpapers and colors for a while, and finally ordered one from Serena & Lily that was husband approved. In general the hubby lets me do what I want with the house, but when he actually likes one of the wallpapers I pick out I know it’s a winner!

First a few before photos…

My amazing mothers in law came up to help out again with wallpapering, and it instantly brightened up the space! I do not recommend installing your own wallpaper in a house 100 years old, unless you are a very patient person, ha. The corners of our walls are far from straight, but with the busy pattern you fortunately can’t tell once it was done.

Once the wallpaper was up, I painted the vanity to match.. I wanted to replace the whole thing, but for now a new coat of paint did the trick and it looks soooo much better! I used the Benjamin Moore high gloss enamel for the first time, and love how it went on so smoothly with a perfect finish! I did two coats (only because I changed colors after the first coat) but I think you could definitely get away with one.

A few pictures of the finished powder room…

Anyone else loving that wallpaper has made a comeback? I would love to hear from you,

xoxo
