Favorite spots in Lake Tahoe
Y’all it’s started ... we are moving back to North Carolina and decided to spend a
month traveling around the West Coast
after we sold our house in Portland. It sounded so glamorous when we started planning and has turned out to be a little harder with the kiddos than expected, but a fun adventure.
Our first stop was
Lake Tahoe!
It was my first time there, and the lake is so clear and gorgeous!! The beaches were perfect with the kiddos, and there were so many amazing restaurants to choose from in town.
Zephyr Cove beach
We stayed in
Zephyr Cove, NV
which was 10 min from the South Lake Tahoe area. The beaches there were less crowded and so amazing!! It was a calmer more residential area and perfect with kids.
Favorite Eats
:
The Naked Fish
for sushi - the most amazing rolls! They were pricey - $15-$20 for the specialty rolls but totally worth it for a good dinner out.
California Burger Company
- amazing variety of burgers for casual eats, and huge outdoor seating area with a live band.
Caprese Burger was amazing!

We normally do a ton of hiking on our trips, but this time decided to just relax and enjoy the beaches. We did one 4 mile hike with amazing views of the lake -
Cascade Falls
. The waterfalls were just a trickle, but the views of the lake were gorgeous!

Outfit deets:
Our two favorite beaches were
Zephyr Cove
and
Sand Harbour
, both in Nevada. They were both protected coves with no waves and perfect for swimming!

It was an amazing first trip, and we can’t wait to go back again sometime! Now back to Portland to say bye to friends and do some laundry at our air bnb 😜
